The “Laser for Manufacturing Lab” represents a strategic move that will allow the technology centre to reinforce its position in terms of advanced manufacturing. The initiative is based on a joint and coordinated offer of the entire range of laser technology solutions developed at IK4-TEKNIKER.
IK4-TEKNIKER has made a strategic move based on using laser technology as the main vector for the processing of materials, for the design and manufacturing of equipment and components and additive manufacturing; it will also to become a key driver for inspection and measurement.
Specifically, the technology centre has set up the “Laser for Manufacturing Lab”, a comprehensive laboratory that was presented at the latest edition of the Machine Tool Biennial (BIEMH).
This initiative, focused on responding to the industry from the global perspective of technological specialisation related to laser, is based on its actual equipment and high qualified researchers. It will also deliver a customised response supported by a long-standing track record with regard to how it can be applied to different sectors.
The aim of the “Laser for Manufacturing Lab” is to achieve a convergence between the technology centre's laser manufacturing value and the need to respond to the market efficiently and resiliently to meet the industry's needs by providing a 360º vision of these techniques and how they are applied.
