The High Speed Machining Conference to be held for the first time in China
The International Conference on High Speed Machining has been successfully held in the European cities of Darmstadt, Metz, San Sebastián and Prague for over 10 years. The aim of the conference is to establish a platform for putting companies, universities and leading research centres working all over the world in the field of machining tooling and manufacturing in contact with each other.
Over recent years, China has become one of the world's main manufacturing markets, and machining technology has become an issue of interest in that country, with much research being carried out and the results being applied to the industry.
Consequently, the 12th HSM Conference, which is co-organised by IK4-TEKNIKER, will be held for the first time in Nanjing, China, from 18 to 20 October 2015, with the aim of attracting participants from both the manufacturing industry in China and the rest of the world.
The conference, which this year will focus on "Advances in productivity and quality", will be attended by over 150 specialist delegates from over 20 countries in America, Europe and Asia.
IK4-TEKNIKER'S participation
In addition to being a member of both the Scientific and Executive Committees, IK4-TEKNIKER will also be giving a presentation entitled “New strategy for trajectory generation in the transition of two non-aligned segments”, which is the result of an R&D project carried out in collaboration with Fagor-Aotek.
The event is sponsored by organisations which, alongside IK4-TEKNIKER, sit on the organising committee and which include the Nanjing National University of Aeronautics and Astronautics (China), the PTW Institute at the Technical University of Darmstadt (Germany), the Prague Research Centre of Manufacturing Technology (Czech Republic) and the Metz Ecole Nationale Supérieure d’arts et Métieres (France).
International AMB Fair (Metal Working & Forming)
The conference has been scheduled to coincide with the International AMB Fair, which will take place from the 19 to 22 October. The AMB Fair is the largest international machine tool and machining fair in China, and a fixed event on the industry's international calendar.
