LASER. Additive manufacturing using wire-based Laser Metal Deposition
David Gómez, Director of the Laser Manufacturing Lab at Tekniker

During this webinar, David Gómez, director of the Laser Manufacturing Lab, presents the wire-based Laser Metal Deposition technology from two perspectives: setting up new processes and developing components and equipment.

In recent years there has been a growing interest with regard to using Laser Metal Deposition (LMD) technology based on wire-Based Laser Metal Deposition (w-LMD) due to the advantages it offers in terms of end product quality and efficiency. Thanks to this process, it is possible to manufacture large metal structures at high deposition speeds (up to 5Kg/h).

A dual approach has been used at Tekniker to address this technology based on setting up new processes and developing components and equipment. Consequently, Tekniker has developed the TITAN machine by means of which large titanium structures can be manufactured with w-LMD. Click on the video and take advantage of 30 minutes of technology!
