LASER. Industrial manufacturing with ultrashort pulses: current status and future prospects
David Gómez, Director of the Laser Manufacturing Lab at Tekniker

During this webinar, David Gómez, director of the Laser Manufacturing Lab, presents an overview of the current situation of ultra-short pulse technologies, their applications and industrial feasibility.

Until a few years ago, ultrashort pulse technologies only accounted for a small niche in the area field of laser manufacturing at an industrial level.

Generally speaking, these technologies were only taken in account to develop very high added value products due to factors such as a lack of robustness, low productivity levels and high price of the sources used.

This situation, however, has changed completely thanks to the progress made in the last years as ultrashort pulses can nowadays be used to produce high volumes of consumer goods.

In addition to traditional sectors in which these processes can be found in the areas of health and luxury goods, ultra-short pulse lasers are currently used in the automotive sector, microelectronics or consumer goods, to mention only a few.

This webinar offers an overview of the current state of the technology, its applications and industrial feasibility. Details will also be given on Tekniker’s expertise and capabilities in this field. Click on the video and take advantage of 30 minutes of technology!
