This Basque Centre has a multidisciplinary approach to the area of healthcare with solutions that combine the latest advances in a whole range of areas, like smart systems, robotics, micro- and nanotechnologies or mechatronics. Among its various developments there are devices for the advanced analysis of blood samples, nano-technological chips for detecting diseases of the digestive system, assistive robots or computer platforms for patient monitoring.
Four research laboratories
IK4-TEKNIKER organises its developments in the healthcare field at four research laboratories: robotic assistance, ambient vision and technology; electronics and wireless communication; microtechnologies and nanotechnologies; and advanced production processes. Many of its projects are characterised by the adaptation of technologies of various fields within a single solution.
The seminar
Connected Health 2012 seminar deals with subjects like “mHealth Technologies or healthcare on the go”, “Interoperability Challenges” and “The Patient's Experience”.
The seminar, organised by the company Ándago and promoted by Continua Health Alliance, constitutes the threshold of the Continua Plugfest #015, a meeting for the professional exchange between companies in the telehealthcare industry which also takes place in Bilbao.
