2014 represents the second financial year that our Strategic Plan 2013-16 was applied, and thus we have begun to reap the first results with regard to our principal challenge of “Maximising value for our clients”.

The first step taken towards meeting this challenge has been to come even closer where possible in order to listen to the needs of the companies in our surroundings, from micro-companies and SMEs to large corporations. For this purpose, we have increased visits to companies, visits received at IK4-TEKNIKER, the conduct of seminars, fora and other kinds of events, etc., which has enabled us to improve said information and make our capabilities better known, resulting in the improved use of these data. We continue to be open to the proposals for improvement that our clients may wish to make; these are always welcome.

Internally, we have continued to deploy and strengthen our CRM, putting special emphasis on developing the concept of opportunity in order to respond and follow up on the needs of our clients from the outset. We have been perfecting our process map, developing the processes related to defining our technological offer and other forms of technology transfer.

In the case of our technological offer, we have exerted special effort in presenting our capabilities in the form of technological solutions, placing special emphasis on the problem area resolved regardless of technology applied. In the same analysis, and in keeping with the guidelines arriving from Europe and its H2020 Programme, we are making an effort to define the Technology Readiness Level (TRL) with regard to each of our capabilities. All of this is reflected and visible in the new edition of our website www.tekniker.es.

The final objective of these activities is to fulfil our mission of generating and transferring technology, which we conduct under two main activity groupings:

  • Supporting companies in the improvement of their competitive capacity, in the majority of cases, through the execution of R&D&i projects or the rendering of services with high technological content.

  • Other forms of technological transfer. Here we cover the valuation of intellectual property, the generation of new technology-based enterprises, and operation by means of licensing or similar formulas.
