Design of a manipulator robot to palletize different sized packets

IK4-TEKNIKER designs a robot to palletize different sized packets in the logistics sector, with a frequency of one packet every 6 seconds in a fully automatic manner.

The Gipuzkoa based company Ulma Handling required a robot that was capable of palletizing packets mainly destined to the commercial large surface distribution.

To meet the objective, a viability study was performed and, once approved, the first prototype was designed, built, put into operation and it was installed into the new Eroski premises.

The new robot is capable of palletizing a packet (sized between 100x100x100 and 600x400x400) in a fully automatic manner, every six seconds.

After the first prototype, six robots have been built and installed at the client's plant.
