The industrial manufacturing and machine tool sectors are permanently searching for systems and solutions that are capable of upgrading process efficiency and reducing environmental impacts.
To achieve these goals, the IK4-TEKNIKER research centre is currently looking into the cryogenic machining technology and how it can be applied to turning and milling processes.
Compared to conventional methods, cryogenic machining is a cooling system used for cutting processes that is more efficient and sustainable as it offers the possibility of eliminating substances and waste that are harmful to health and the environment.
