IK4-TEKNIKER is organising the International High Speed Machining Conference
The high international response to calls connected to the International High Speed Machining Conference to be organised by IK4-TEKNIKER in Donostia - San Sebastián demonstrates the relevance of the Basque machine tool and manufacturing sectors.
It is the third time that this conference will be organised by the technology centre and held at the Kursaal Convention Centre of San Sebastian on April 17 and 18, 2018 under the title of “Productivity, Quality and Digitisation”.
The conference, that has taken place once a year since 2006, does not only address machining and machine tool design and monitoring, but also other manufacturing technologies such as high performance machining, laser machining, texturing and additive manufacturing.
IK4-TEKNIKER’s participation
IK4-TEKNIKER staff will give several lectures and serve on Scientific and Executive Committees.
The international character of the convention is clearly demonstrated by the involvement of a number of organisations that, together with IK4-TEKNIKER, are members of the organising committee: The University of Aeronautics and Astronautics (NUAA) of Nanjing (China), the PTW Institute of the Technical University of Darmstadt (Germany), the Research Centre of Manufacturing Technology in Prague (Czech Republic), the Ecole Nationale Supérieure d'Arts et Métiers of Metz (France) and the IK4-IDEKO technology centre.
The conference will also be sponsored by the Department of Education, Linguistic Policy and Culture of the Basque Government and the International Academy for Production Engineering (CIRP).
This upcoming conference offers domestic companies the possibility of getting in touch with other leading organisations, research centres and universities from all five continents connected to the machine tools and manufacturing.
