Clickindustrial participates in the first ‘Digitalks Euskadi’ seminar

The challenge of transforming B2B businesses into digital businesses

Itziar Cenoz, Tekniker’s Marketing & Digital Business director, participated in the first Digitalks Euskadi meeting during which discussions addressed the success of Clickindustrial, an innovative B2B e-commerce portal created by the technology centre itself. The seminar was held on February 27 in Vitoria-Gasteiz.

Based on its e-commerce platform, Tekniker, member of the Basque Research and Technology Alliance (BRTA), participated on February 27 in the first edition of the ‘Digitalks’ seminar, the Basque Country’s first e-commerce and digital community, an event organised by Ecommerce News and the On4u agency. During this first meeting, discussions focused on how to “Transform B2B businesses into digital businesses” and two successful cases of digital transformations carried out at Basque companies were explained, including the Clickindustrial.es case. Itziar Cenoz, Tekniker’s Marketing & Digital Business Director, explained the project.

Clickindustrial is a marketplace where in-house products and services can be sold, although it is also open to third-party offers to generate more deals, recurrences and synergies.

In this regard, Cenoz explained how successful it has been for a technology centre to implement an e-commerce platform. She also described the technology centre’s real motivations to launch a project of this kind and ended by pointing out the different stages the initiative covered.

She also stressed that all consumers are becoming increasingly digital and that the regular use of e-commerce applied to B2B purchases will soon become a reality in Europe too.

In addition to presenting Tekniker’s marketplace, the first edition of this event showcased a number of initiatives carried out by Basque companies and explained how they are addressing their digital transformation process. Specifically, companies such as Grupo Ternua and Clickindustrial itself attended the event. It also included the participation of Mercedes-Benz, Goizper, Orbea, Correos Express and fitnessdigital, among others.

The seminar took place at On4u, at the agency’s offices in Vitoria-Gasteiz. Itziar Cenoz’s presentation was followed by Iñaki Mendarozketa, the e-commerce manager from Ternua Group, who spoke about the digitisation strategies for numerous sales and distribution channels available to all their brands.

Once these two successful cases of digital transformation have been described, the seminar ended with a Q&A session during which a number of relevant issues were discussed. For instance, the current level of digital maturity of Basque companies, how they can benefit from already existing technologies with regard to implementing their digital marketing practices and, lastly, the main challenges that B2B businesses will have to address should they want to implement e-commerce projects and what exactly has to be done to take this technological leap.
