IK4-TEKNIKER, a growing brand

IK4-TEKNIKER, a brand that hasn’t stopped growing for the last 30 years

IK4-TEKNIKER’s new facilities are the most visible face of a brand that has not stopped growing for the last 30 years. And that would not be possible if the foundations of the new premises were not laid upon solid principles that have been guiding the R+D centre's activity ever since its birth: specialisation, involvement and cost-effectiveness. Three pillars on which the R+D centre builds its own conception, its technological offer and its relations with companies.

Specialisation is in the R+D centre’s DNA and is the raison d’être of the work of all the professionals that comprise the IK4-TEKNIKER team. The R+D centre has a team of researchers who can avail themselves of avant-garde technology with which to tackle tasks of innovation in the areas of precision engineering, intelligent systems, manufacturing technologies and surface engineering, the centre’s main areas of specialisation.

Involvement is the second pillar on which IK4-TEKNIKER is built, since the solutions and results of the centre’s activity are the product of the necessary interaction between IK4-TEKNIKER’s specialists in specific technologies and the specialists in the business: the companies themselves.

The members of the IK4-TEKNIKER team have a long-term relationship with the business base so that open communication and a situation of confidence can be achieved. The aim is to learn from the needs of the companies so that, in a proactive way, adapted solutions can be provided.

The third pillar on which IK4-TEKNIKER rests is cost-effectiveness. The most important thing for the centre’s researchers is to come up with cost-effective solutions for companies in the short and long term. That is why the centre brings differentiation and added value, greater productivity and, as a result, greater competitiveness, indispensable to be able to compete on international markets.

Cost-effectiveness is also fundamental in the very activity of the R+D centre, to be able to provide the researchers with the best equipment and to enable them to go on carrying out their research work into avant-garde technology.
