EGILE Corporation XXI, S.L. a new collaborating organisation of IK4-TEKNIKER

The two organisations will be furthering their relations in order to keep the competitiveness of the EGILE group’s products and services constantly updated

Egile Corporation XXI, S.L. has signed an agreement as a collaborating organisation of the R&D centre so that it can boost R&D across its companies.

The EGILE high-tech conglomerate, based in Mendaro (Gipuzkoa, Basque Country), has signed an agreement as a collaborating organisation of IK4-TEKNIKER. The signing of this agreement means that the two organisations will be furthering their relations so that the competitiveness of the products and services of the technology group are constantly updated.

Ultra-precision manufacturing and aeronautics are some of the fields in which Egile specialises, so its activity fits in perfectly with the R&D centre’s technological offer, among whose areas of expertise feature manufacturing technologies.

As a collaborating organisation for an indefinite period EGILE Corporation XXI, S.L. will be able to benefit from advantages like the setting up of a close relationship of collaboration with a top R&D centre like IK4-TEKNIKER; it will mean a direct line with the most important researchers for EGILE’s activity, the fostering of the holding of regular meetings of a strategic nature with the R&D centre so that the Centre can align its channels of research with the needs of the companies comprising the group.

Strategic collaboration

By signing this agreement IK4-TEKNIKER has committed itself to collaborating, if EGILE so wishes, in the specifying of its strategic R&D plan by acting as an expert player in technologies and as a technology watch antenna. The two organisations assume that this point will be useful in finding new opportunities for developing products and improving processes.

According to Alejandro Bengoa, IK4-TEKNIKER’s CEO, “in view of the technologies and sectors that EGILE Corporation XXI, S.L. is involved in, this move has a huge potential for IK4-TEKNIKER, so the centre will be throwing itself especially into the projects and proposals it is gearing towards this business group”.

The collaboration agreement also covers access of the companies within the EGILE group to IK4-TEKNIKER’s cutting-edge infrastructure, like its clean room, laboratories or showrooms.
