IK4-TEKNIKER will be presenting the paper "Frictional heating calculation based on tailored experimental tests" at NordTrib 2012

IK4-TEKNIKER’s Tribology Unit will be presenting the paper entitled “Frictional heating calculation based on tailored experimental tests” at the 15th Nordic Tribology Symposium (NordTrib 2012), between 12 and 15 June 2012, organised by the NTNU (Norwegian University of Science and Technology) and SINTEF, the largest independent research organisation in Scandinavian countries.

The symposium, which takes place every two years in one of the Nordic countries –Finland, Sweden, Norway or Denmark– is due to be held in Trondheim (Norway).

NordTrib was first hosted by Tampere, Finland in 1984, and over the years has become a highly valued event internationally. Every two years this symposium brings together a large part of the international tribology community as well as many scientists from various countries, so that they can present and share their latest tribology-related contributions and questions.

IK4-TEKNIKER will be presenting its paper "Characterization of PTFE composites through the study of desorbed gases in High vacuum (HV)" at the ECCM 15

IK4-TEKNIKER’s Tribology Unit will be presenting the paper entitled "Characterization of PTFE composites through the study of desorbed gases in High vacuum (HV)" at the 15th European Conference on Composite Materials (ECCM 15), which will be hosted by Venice (Italy) from 24 to 28 June 2012.

The conference is organised by the Department of Management and Engineering of the University of Padua in collaboration with the Italian Nanotechnology Cluster (Veneto Nanotech), one of its patrons being the European Society for Composite Materials (ESCM).

This meeting aims to present the latest innovations and trends as well as proposals for new solutions in the various fields of application of composite materials.

To meet these aims, the conference will have a broad programme including plenary sessions and lectures, symposia on a range of subjects as well as technical workshops on industrial matters.

The ECCM is one of the main European conferences on composite materials and has been expanding significantly in recent years. In fact, over 1,000 participants including scientists, engineers and researchers from all over the world are expected to attend this year's event.

IK4-TEKNIKER to present the paper "Zirconium carbonitrides: study of tribological properties with deposition parameters" at the ECNF II

IK4-TEKNIKER’s Department of Surface Technologies and Physics will be delivering a paper entitled "Zirconium carbonitrides: study of tribological properties with deposition parameters" at the 2nd European Conference on Nanofilms (ECNF II), due to be held in Ancona, Italy, from 17 to 22 June 2012.

This conference, which in 2010 drew over 250 engineers and researchers, aims to provide a global vision geared towards research into nanoparticles, which is currently seeing rapid growth due, above all, to its implementation in fields like the industry sector, medicine or renewables.

ECNF II functions as a platform for exchanging information, and provides an opportunity to share the latest scientific advances, to encourage the setting up of research networking, and to establish contacts. Plenary sessions, presentations, and roundtables will also be organized to foster interaction among participants.
