IK4-TEKNIKER participates in SolarPACES 2017
The development of new competitive technologies in the field of solar power requires that knowledge be updated continuously so that maximum benefits will result from them.
Complementarity between different types of renewables, the role that power storage technologies will play in the future and, finally, enhanced management practices for plants where renewables are produced are but some of the main topics currently being discussed worldwide.
It is within this particular context that the 23rd edition of the SolarPACES conference will be taking place. In fact, it is the world’s most outstanding event addressing solar concentration technologies that, year after year, has brought together more than 500 researchers and industrial experts from approximately 40 countries to discuss significant relevant technological developments, R&D activities and marketing trends linked to this business.
This year, Chile will host the SolarPACES conference for the first time from September 26 - 29 and Santiago de Chile is the city that has been chosen for the occasion.
IK4-TEKNIKER has been actively involved in this conference since 2009 and this year will present some of its latest developments. Specifically, information will be given on the organisation’s most recent experience with regard to developing and automatically calibrating heliostats; on coatings for mirrors and receptors and, finally, on reflector testing and cleansing systems.
This 23rd edition has been organised by CORFO (Production Development Corporation), via its Solar Power programme, and by SERC Chile (the Solar Power Research Centre). It has the support of ESTELA, the European Solar Thermal Electricity Association.
