The dissemination of metrology at the 6th Spanish Metrology Conference

IK4-TEKNIKER has been actively involved in the 6th Spanish Metrology Conference

IK4-TEKNIKER has participated again in this year’s edition of the 6th Spanish Metrology Conference on the organising committee and as a speaker and has taken a positive view of the conference.

The Spanish Metrology Centre (CEM), the San Fernando Town Council (Cádiz) and Royal Navy Observatory jointly organised the 6th Spanish Metrology Conference held on June 6, 7 and 8 during which recent developments in the field of metrology and measuring technologies were addressed amongst other subjects.

IK4-TEKNIKER has been cooperating with CEM for more than 20 years and participated in the conference by forming part of the organising committee and delivering a lecture on metrology for industry 4.0.

The technology centre has taken a positive view of this year’s event that did not only focus on the most technical and scientific areas but also on disseminating this science as depicted in the main conference theme: “measuring for development, a guarantee for our wellbeing”.

In fact, a number of activities were carried out at the conference to make citizens aware of how important this science is for our daily lives and to achieve enough critical mass to foster future technological developments in the field of metrology.

Technical and scientific exhibitions were of a high level of quality in terms of technological elements, advances made and results obtained in this field. Likewise, the active involvement of IK4-TEKNIKER served to reinforce its position as a leading organisation in the field of metrology that stands out thanks to the comprehensive approach developed on how these technologies are applied in the industry.
