IK4-TEKNIKER is participating in the VISIO Conference

IK4-TEKNIKER is participating in the 5th edition of the VISIO Conference: Systematic Watch and Intelligence for Innovation in Organisations to be held on 16 and 17 October, 2014, at the Basque Culinary Center, in Donostia-San Sebastian.

VISIO 2014 is an international meeting to encourage the communication and exchange of experiences among professionals in the sector and to promote the use of Watch and Intelligence in organisations as a factor of innovation.

This edition will be focussing on the role of watch in times of crisis and instability, the economic return of the discipline and intelligence versus security, among other things. Specifically, IK4-TEKNIKER’s Industrial Management and Innovation Unit will be presenting the paper entitled Roles in a distributed, collaborative model of watch which will be dealing with the practical case of the Watch system set up at IK4-TEKNIKER and its evolution; it currently has over 80 analysts, professionals working at the R&D centre, and over 1,400 active sources.

To achieve these figures, a system known as “Distributed, Collaborative Watch” has been developed; within it, different roles have been specified and they are all linked to what is currently known as the “Information Professional”, thus ensuring that technology watch functions properly.

The conference will also have spaces to find out about the new trends and practical cases of companies that have technology watch systems in place.

The conference is geared towards professionals of the discipline as well as organisations interested in learning and sharing knowledge and experiences in matters relating to watch, intelligence, innovation, and the taking of strategic decisions.
