Lubrication Management is organising:

Optimum, reliable operation of transformers

27 November, 2014
Hotel Abba (Madrid)

Lubrication Management is organising a seminar on the optimum, reliable operation of transformers

The transformer is the most important piece of equipment in an electrical installation in terms of cost as well as economic repercussions in the event of an unforeseen event, incident or breakdown.

That is why Lubrication Management is organising the seminar entitled “Optimum, reliable operation of transformers” in collaboration with the company Omicron on 27 November at the Hotel Abba in Madrid. The aim is to transmit valuable information in order to take appropriate decisions during the maintenance and inspection of transformers, and thus work in conditions of maximum reliability.

The seminar will be addressing questions like:

  • What measures can I take to ensure that the transformer is working as reliably as possible? When should I take these measures?
  • When can I carry out electrical tests?
  • What are the usual techniques for dealing with dielectric oils?
  • When can I carry out filtering or regeneration? What results can I expect from these procedures?
  • Is it possible to estimate the remaining service lifetime of a transformer on the basis of furan analysis?
  • Are automatic gas analysers reliable?
  • Is stray gassing a significant problem?

Participants

The seminar is geared especially towards technicians and personnel in charge of transformer maintenance and operation tasks: maintenance professionals, operations professionals and professionals in the power distribution and generation sector.
