Under the heading “measuring for development, a guarantee for the well-being of persons”, the Spanish Metrology Centre, the San Fernando Town Council (Cádiz, Spain) and Royal Navy Observatory will jointly host the 6th Spanish Metrology Conference to be held in San Fernando (Cádiz) on June 7, 8 & 9 2017.

The conference is aimed at users of measuring technologies at an industrial level and in the field of research.

It is also geared towards manufacturers and companies developing measuring instruments and equipment as well as companies that have already implemented or are in the process of implementing Quality Management Systems and people responsible for decision making based on measurement outcomes.

Three major subjects shall addressed during the conference: fundamental and applied metrology; major challenges in metrology; and metrology: its social and industrial impact.

The expert members of the organising committee represent companies and institutions dealing with different fields of metrology.

IK4-TEKNIKER is to collaborate with the organising committee with regard to scientific issues by proposing subjects to be discussed, coordinating and chairing some of the sessions and participating in the evaluation of presentations. A speaker will give a lecture on metrology for Industry 4.0 on behalf of the company.
