How can the physical appearance and logics of a high performance sensoring device be outlined?

Mechanics, electronics and data processing, the basics of a sensoring device

An IK4-TEKNIKER team of experts is developing sensor system hardware and software elements until a pre-series is obtained.

The three basic features of a high performance sensoring device are mechanics, electronics and data processing.

Electronics

The manufacturing process of a sensor is based on outlining electronics (software), mechanics (hardware) and data processing until a first integrated version is obtained, a procedure that IK4-TEKNIKER is carrying out in five major steps based on:

  • Capturing requirements
  • Defining specifications and running validation tests
  • Designing an electronic prototype
  • Developing a functional electronic prototype
  • Performing functional validation & integration

Mechanical design and development

The design of a sensor system starts once its mechanical specifications have been defined.

Computer Assisted Design (CAD) technologies help to shape a number of previously determined features and also provide the foundations required to generate the physical shape of a design. Design strengths and weaknesses are verified once the design stage has concluded by building a prototype that undergoes several functionality and resistance tests.

Data processing: local or in the cloud

Data generated by device operations can be treated either locally or in the cloud. This allows historics to be generated with regard to any parameters selected. In addition, customer user experience and trends can be reviewed.

IK4-TEKNIKER has all the equipment required to perform an extensive range of pre-certification trials involving prototypes.
